Terms of Service

Welcome to Krffl! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application ("App") available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, operated by Krffl LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company also registered as a foreign entity in New York ("Krffl", "we", "our", or "us"). By using our App, you ("you", "your", or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to download, access, or use the App.

2. Description of the Service

Krffl is a mobile application that helps users discover and generate recipes using ingredients they have on hand. Users may:

• Manually input ingredients;
• Upload a photo of their ingredients (which we process using AI to recognize items);
• Search for recipes by name;
• Optionally input allergy preferences to filter suggestions.

Recipes are generated via an integration with OpenAI's ChatGPT API and are for informational and entertainment purposes only.

3. User Responsibilities

• Allergy Disclaimer: Users are solely responsible for ensuring that the recipes generated do not contain any ingredients that they are allergic to. While you may enter allergy information, Krffl cannot guarantee that suggested recipes will be completely free of allergens.
• Accuracy: Krffl makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any recipes or nutritional information. You must independently verify all ingredients and instructions before use.
• Dietary Needs: We do not provide dietary, medical, or nutritional advice. Consult a professional before making changes to your diet or preparing recipes for individuals with specific health conditions.

4. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Services

Krffl may participate in various affiliate marketing programs. This means that some links within the App may be affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you click on such links or make purchases through them.

Affiliate Disclosure: Affiliate links help support the operation of the App but do not affect the price you pay.

We do not endorse or control third-party products, services, or websites linked through the App. Your interactions with third-party sites are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Krffl is not responsible for any issues, damages, or disputes arising from third-party purchases made through affiliate links.

5. Data Collection and Privacy

Krffl does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) beyond a randomly generated device ID used to support app functionality. You may optionally input allergy preferences, which are stored locally on your device or securely within our system. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

6. Use of AI and Limitations

Krffl uses third-party AI services (including OpenAI’s ChatGPT) to generate recipe suggestions. These models may occasionally produce incorrect, outdated, or unsuitable results. We do not control or vet the output of these AI services.

7. Intellectual Property

All content within the App, including but not limited to text, code, and branding, is the property of Krffl LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activities;
• Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the App’s operations;
• Misrepresent allergies or input dangerous ingredient combinations.

9. No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. KRFFL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KRFFL LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, AND ITS PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ALLERGIC REACTIONS OR INCORRECT RECIPE INFORMATION.

11. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Connecticut or New York.
